Schakering van Schaduw/ Shades of Shadow, 2024 explores the interplay between objects and their shadows, focusing on absence and presence. By collecting traces of people, moments and everyday life, Bauke began "shadow dinners" to broaden the dialogue about shadows, exploring the hidden meanings and associations of objects and spaces.

Documenting these processes captures the shadows presence and uncovers its complexity. On the monochrome surface, diverse nuances emerge. The tablecloth becomes a canvas for examining domestic and personal themes within a collective context.
